Why should someone use web based medical billing software ? Well, I’m kind of an expert in this topic, in fact I used to work for a company that worked mainly with web based applications and let me tell you that web based systems have great advantages.

That’s why I decided to talk about this topic. When you consider a web based medical billing software you need to understand what are the good points and the not so good points of a medical software solution, when in reality you don’ have the software “with you” . Instead the medical billing software, will be hosted in a server, and you will be accessing the application .

The great thing is that you can always work from any computer and this is pretty cool. this mean that if at your office you buy a new laptop you can start working in your web based medical billing software, straight away. I love this concept, the idea of easy access to an application just by having access to a web browser.

The not so great point, obviously of a web based medical billing software, is that like it’s name says, it is a “web” solution, and in case you loose connectivity with the net, you will not be able to use, launch the medical software.

So if you are really considering medical billing software, the web based version can be an option, only if you have a very solid structure and you knwow your internet connection is pretty solid and very reliable.
